STUDIO 801

Studio 801 was established to enhance the Arena Players unique style, and to extend creative arts training and resources to the general public since January 1993.

Studio 801 is a three part project:

CREATIVE ARTS TRAINING (CAT) - is the adult training division. Classes are regularly offered in acting, directing and play writing. At certain times classes are offered in stage management, stagecraft and some technical areas.

THE ROAD COMPANY - Extending performances into the local community . This company has also performed in New York City. Engagements must be requested at least 6 months in advance and these are paid performances as this is done by contracts. Actors are members of the Studio 801 Acting Company.

THE ACTIVIST THEATRE - Presenting challenging and innovative works, tackling major social issues, such as AIDS, teenage pregnancy, police brutality, drugs, politics, child and spousal abuse, correctional issues and homelessness.

Studio 801 also presents productions on the main stage of Arena Players, Inc. such as "Enemy of the People", "Julius Caesar" and "Gods Trombones"

ACTING CLASSES  for  fall session will start on Wednesday, Sept 8th for beginners and audition/technique classes.  On Thursday, Sept 9th classes in methods of acting for more advanced students will start. Cost $125.00 for 8 to 10 classes (unless otherwise stated). Private classes $25.00 each hour.
